// Integration

Gemini CLI, sharing memory with the rest of your toolchain.

Gemini CLI connects to Virex Memory over MCP, reading and writing the same organization-scoped corpus as every other compatible client. Virex Remote is a different story, and this page says so directly.

// Virex Remote

Remote control for Gemini CLI

The honest answer, stated plainly rather than buried.

Virex Remote does not support Gemini CLI. Remote is built specifically around how Claude Code sessions run, pause for permission requests, and gate on plan decisions, and that specificity is what makes the oversight worth having. Claiming generic coverage would make the product worse and the claim untrue.

// Virex Memory

Memory for Gemini CLI

Support follows the protocol rather than a per-tool integration list, so Gemini CLI works with the same memory as everything else you run.

Memory tools over MCP

The memory tools are discovered at connect time and used during a session, so recall happens as part of working rather than as a separate step.

Retrieval by meaning

A query finds relevant memories even when it shares no vocabulary with how they were written.

One corpus across clients

Switching between agents mid-project does not reset context, because the memory belongs to your organization.

Maintained automatically

Scheduled relevance scoring and automatic expiry keep the corpus worth searching as it grows.

A mixed toolchain is the normal case, not the exception. Protocol-level support is what makes that survivable.

// Getting there

What setup involves.

The account steps are the same for every tool. The connection step is where they differ, and that detail lives in the docs.

01

Create your account and organization

One login covers every Virex surface. Each user belongs to exactly one organization.

02

Subscribe to Virex Memory

Checkout starts your organization subscription, or adds Memory as another line item if you already run Virex Remote.

03

Assign seats

A seat grants a member access. One seat covers every MCP client that member uses, rather than one per tool.

04

Connect Gemini CLI

Point Gemini CLI at the Virex Memory MCP server so it can read and write your organization memory.

Configuration steps for Gemini CLI live in the docs.

// FAQ

Gemini CLI questions

Does Virex Memory work with Gemini CLI?

Yes. It speaks the Model Context Protocol, so it reads and writes the same organization-scoped memory as every other MCP-compatible client.

Does Virex Remote work with Gemini CLI?

No. Remote is built around Claude Code sessions specifically, and we state that rather than implying coverage we do not have.

Can I run Gemini CLI and Claude Code against one memory?

Yes. Both reach the same organization corpus, so what one agent works out is available to the other.

Is there a per-tool charge?

No. Seats are per member per product. One Virex Memory seat covers every MCP client that member uses.

What does it cost?

$15 per seat, per month, per product, flat across products.
